The Roots of Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home dates back to 1922 when the late Arthur and Walter Sellergren established as a partnership the Sellergren Funeral Home. The firm has continued to serve this community at the same location since its start. Many remodelings and additions to this home have made the Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home the fine facility that it is today and with much history and many memories of the families they serve.

In 1923 Arthur died, leaving Walter as the sole owner. He managed the operation until his death in 1942 when his two sons Delaine and Darwin Sellergren bought the funeral home from the rest of the family. They continued as a partnership until 1963 when Delaine moved to Fort Dodge to help start another funeral home.

On July 1, 1966 Kenneth and Delores Lindell moved to Red Oak to join the firm and on January 1, 1969 purchased the funeral home from Darwin and Lucille Sellergren at which time the name was changed to Sellergren-Lindell Funeral Home.

In August of 1975 Ronald J. DeMarce joined the firm and on August 1, 1988 Ronald and his wife Sara purchased an interest in the firm. On January 2, 1991 Ronald and Sara purchased the funeral home from Kenneth and Delores Lindell. Ronald J. DeMarce, as president and manager, is responsible for overall management of all phases of the operation and is assisted by his wife Sara. In 1995 the name was changed to Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home.
